The Going Green theme was produced for one purpose and one purpose only… to provide you with the best “green” WordPress theme on the market today.
Sure you could use it for other types of websites and blogs, but that would be missing the point.
Green and brown textured backgrounds combined with subtle drop shadows and exquisitely detailed sidebar elements create a simple but stunning eco-friendly WordPress theme.
If you want to check out the level of detailing, head over to the Studiopress site and take a closer look at the Going Green theme.
Make sure you don’t miss the clever separation of the footer from the main content – I like that.
Maybe you want to save the earth. Maybe you want to save your neighbourhood.
Going Green is the clean and stable platform you can tell the world from.
Make a difference with your website.

Love this revamp – my favourite of the mobile responsive update series so far! My wife’s main website has long been using Going Green and she’ll be pleased with the updated look.
Cheers to everyone involved with this one!

I really like the idea of using the Genesis framework for developing custom themes. I love being able to reuse existing frameworks for wordpress customization whenever possible. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Brandon
Starting with the Genesis base theme to create your child theme has to be a good idea.
Genesis base has been put together by some of the best WordPress developers out there so starting with a great theme makes complete sense to me.
Thanks for coming over and leaving a comment.
