One of the great things about WordPress is the number of themes you can choose from, there are gazillions out there.
Unfortunately the number of themes available can be a mixed blessing.
Do you have time to sift through all the themes and find the one that is perfect for your website?
Ever wish you could just type in your website wish-list and then choose from a few select themes that met your spec?
Well now you can… with the arrival of the Genesis WordPress theme selector tool from the guys over at Studiopress.
This is a fabulous feature that allows you to choose theme colour, theme category and lots of other details and then watch as the Genesis magic finds the ultimate theme for you.
Mix and match theme requirements to get your perfect theme
The Genesis WordPress theme selector tool allows you to zero in on just the right theme by mixing and matching theme requirements from five groups.
Theme Colour
Let’s start with colour – what are you looking for, red, blue, black?
Do you want a theme to match your letter heading or perhaps a dark background to contrast with your portfolio images.
Just use the colour bar to pick your colour and you’re off and running.
Theme Category
Are you looking for a business website, an eCommerce site or perhaps a real estate website?
Take your pick from the following categories:
- Business
- Ecommerce
- Education
- Enterprise
- Photography
- Politics
- Real Estate
- Tumblelog
- Video
- Women
Theme Features
What about features, did you have anything in mind?
Are you looking for a theme with Colour Styles that allows you to change theme colours easily?
Is it important that your new theme is Mobile Responsive?
Or perhaps you just want a theme that will allow you to use your own Custom Header.
Theme Layout
What layout are you looking for?
One column for a landing page type effect, two columns for a regular website type feel or three columns to give you a little more sidebar room.
Just make your choice and add it to the mix.
Theme Type
And finally…. theme type.
Are you looking for Themes from StudioPress, which are included in the Studiopress Pro Plus package?
Or Themes from the Community, which are produced by the StudioPress Design Community, but are not included in the Pro Plus package.
As you change and add to your selection, themes appear and disappear in front of you until you are left with just a few themes from which you can make your final selection.
Time to visit the Pick and Mix over at Studiopress and play around a little
If you have definite requirements for your next WordPress theme and you want to save time then the Genesis WordPress theme selector tool is just what you’ve been looking for.
Or… if you don’t have any definite theme requirements, but just want to play around a little and have a good time, you can still give it a go.
There are so many options available when you’re choosing a Genesis premium theme — so how can you quickly zero in on the one you want?
Simple, just use our handy-dandy Theme Chooser. You can filter by available colour scheme, by column layout, by type of theme, by feature … it’s totally up to you.
We have to warn you though, tests here at StudioPress have indicated that playing with the Theme Chooser can be addictive. Have fun!
